The Mavericks Invitational Festival

Coming to the coast to see the Mavericks Invitational?

Local public safety agencies will close off public access to the beach and bluffs on the day of the contest. The small stretch of beach at Mavericks will be inaccessible at high tide, likely under water completely. The environmentally-sensitive bluffs will not be accessible to spectators. So, we’re offering up a spot at the Mavericks Festival, located on the grounds of the Oceano Hotel & Spa in Princeton Harbor, Half Moon Bay.

Advance tickets are $10 online, or $20 at the door until the event is sold out.

Ticket holders will have access to the festival grounds to view the action on the JumboTron with live commentary, interviews with surfers, and at the end of the day – the actual awards ceremony where all of the surfers will be on site and accessible for photos and autographs. Festival goers will be allowed to re-enter after visiting nearby shops, restaurants and pubs – which will be showing the live feed as well as the 49er game. (Unfortunately, the game cannot be broadcast at the festival due to licensing and copyright issues.)

The Festival will also feature live music, food vendors, the Sierra Nevada Beer Garden, merchandise sales, a Mavericks Gallery and much more.
